Harris Wofford was a Democratic Senator for Pennsylvania from 1991 to 1995 and has become one of America’s leading advocates for international volunteerism. Wofford was instrumental in the development of the Peace Corps during the Kennedy administration and later played an important role in establishing the Corporation for National Service, which operates Americorps. He has also served as the president of the College at Old Westbury and the president of Bryn Mawr College.
