SEAA Film Screening: “The Act of Killing” Documentary

The Southeast Asian Association is hosting the Film Screening: “The Act of Killing” Documentary for the evening of Wednesday November 5, 2014 in the Elliott School of International Affairs, Room 215 at The George Washington University.
This documentary looks at the Indonesian massacres of 1965-1966, an anti-communist purge during a period of political upheaval. The documentary follows the war criminals who perpetrated the violence.
 
One of the most critically acclaimed films of 2012, The Act of Killing holds a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has won several awards including the 2013 European Film Academy Documentary Award from the European Film Awards and 2014 BAFTA Awards among others.
 
This event is free, educational, and interesting! Snacks and light refreshments will be provided before the movie. Check out the attached poster!
