Irony of Pulse shooting — I felt safer in Morocco than in my hometown

Unofficial Ambassador to Morocco and Florida native Rachel Joyner has been published by The Orlando Sentinel! This summer, Rachel is teaching English to youth who have had limited access to education at the Al-Akhwayan Azrou Center for Community Development in Ifrane, Morocco. Upon her return to the States, Rachel will continue her studies of Peace, War, and Defense as a Morehead-Cain scholar at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. We hope you find her heartfelt perspective on the tragic Orlando shooting to be eye-opening.
